Going Shelling on Turtle Beach FL

Today, we were blessed to enjoy our first visit to Turtle Beach, a secluded stretch of beach located just south of Sarasota.

Although we were expecting calm waters and a bit of a crowd, God delivered a completely unexpected outing, starting with choppy waves, a scary strong undertow and near empty parking lot and beach.

We witnessed a water rescue of a young woman who washed away from the shore, involving a police helicopter and two lifeguards on a jet ski, proof the water was not to be messed with.

All is all, we did come up with quite the bounty in shells of all colors and sizes, even a very unique piece of drift wood.

I have to admit, we were the ones who took quite the “shelling” when we tried to go into the water… #TGBTG
