Throwback Friday – The Carousel of Progress

This week’s throwback is in tune with previous audio tracks otherwise unavailable to the general public. This one however is not only extraordinary, but also out of production…

The time? It’s 1967 and Disneyland gates are wide open! The place? Anaheim, California of course! The exact location would be the Carousel of Progress, Disney’s flagship rotating theater. Created by both Walt Disney and WED Enterprises as the prime feature of the General Electric Pavilion for the 1964 New York World’s Fair, the attraction was moved to Tomorrowland at Disneyland Park in Anaheim, California, remaining there from 1967 until 1973. It was replaced in Disneyland by America Sings in 1974, and reopened in its present home in Walt Disney World Resort’s Magic Kingdom in 1975 where the ride continues to charm young and old to this day.

As a matter of fact, it was Trinity’s wish to go one the ride instead of watching a performance show. She’s been humming the song since so this throwback was a nobrainer. Enjoy!
