Monetizing the Bible?

Many of you know, because of my faith in the risen Christ, when it comes to web traffic, my niche is Christianity. It’s no surprise sooner or later, I would start monetizing the abundance of traffic within this niche.

biblical-cookingOne of my most popular web sites continues to be Biblical Cooking, an informative site that features biblically inspired recipes, scientific facts, inspirational scripture and an online bookstore.

Biblical Cooking climbed to the top of Google, MSN, Ask and Yahoo in a hurry based on a wide spectrum of targeted keywords and phrases. Initially, I only generated revenue from Amazon selling biblically inspired cook books. Lately, the sale of my eBook titled “The Daniel Fast” is generating more revenue than I imagined…

Though I did sell quite a good number of books via Amazon, where I earn a commission with each book sale, earnings were not optimal which prompted me to change my plan and produce a digital product I would profit from entirely, instead of partly through an affiliate program such as Amazon.

Using subtle colors that blend nicely with the site’s scheme, I was able to increase revenue by 45% almost instantly! Not bad for a self-sufficient website that needs little or no updating.

To date, the Biblical Cooking web site has paid for itself 100 times over considering the only operating cost is domain name registration and hosting. An ideal model for affiliate websites, the Biblical Cooking site turned out to be far more successful than I initially anticipated. I invite you to copy the model to maximize your affiliate earning potential.
