Goodbye Jethro! You Will Be Missed!

Earlier today, Elizabeth, the girls and I said goodbye to our first goat buck. A bottle baby, Jethro had been with us since the spring, serving Glorious Acres as the head of our herd. Now that our three nannies are seemingly bred, and one is ready to give birth any day, the Oberhalsi & Nubian buck’s stud service was no longer needed.

So, it’s with a heavy heart that we placed an ad on Craigslist and within one day, Jethro was loaded up and headed up our driveway on his way to his new home, just a few miles down the road where he would be introduced to Diamond, his new mate, a matching Oberhalsi & Nubian breed, 6 month old doeling.

Our only boy will be missed, specially by our nannies… So long Jethro!
