Good Friday on the Beach

There is absolutely no denying Florida has some of the world’s best beaches. Today on Good Friday, Elizabeth, Grace, Trinity, Faith and I honored the sacrifice of our Lord, rejoicing as a family spending the afternoon on the beaches of Honeymoon Island. Grace and Trinity must have ran back and forth to the water’s edge a hundred times, driven to fill a huge hold we dug with water to symbolize the death and resurrection of Jesus via water baptism.

Easter is always a powerful time of the year, typically spend in praise to the man sent from God to die on a cross for the sins of mankind.

As we sat and ate lunch on the beach, Elizabeth read from the word teaching Grace about Jesus’ trial which led to his crucifixion. The sadness on my daughter’s face was quickly replaced by joy when Elizabeth described in details how Jesus rose from the dead on the third day, just as prophesied.

My hope and prayer for you this Easter is a simple one. That you remember the sacrifice Jesus made for you on the cross, that He shed His blood and died so you could live. Put Christ first in your life and see for yourself how gratifying it is to serve all loving divinity instead of worldly evil.
