Case Study: How I Helped a Client Turn a Free Private Label eBook into $23,000.00!

A short while ago, a local public speaker and public speaking coach hired me to help him grow his business and position himself as an authority in the public speaking field.

A former stage hypnotist and self-proclaimed doctor, “John Doe” had a huge contact list mainly comprised of other hypnosis enthusiasts in the UK and Australia. How he built such a sizeable contact list baffles me, however this huge mailing list is at the root of this case study and success story.

One day, “Dr. Doe” calls me and tells me he’s desperate for cash. Having worked for him for a couple years, I was aware he owned a few private label ebooks, but more importantly, I also knew full well the response level of his huge mailing list.

So, I had him make a few edits to one of the PLR ebooks in his collection, to which I designed a striking new cover, then I produced a convincing landing page, and added the ebook to the doctor’s online shopping cart as a private label product.

Then, I emailed all twenty-eight thousands contacts inviting each one to download the ebook titled “Sowing Seeds Of Success” for free. Each person who downloaded the ebook, and there were thousands who did, then received an email offering them the ebook as a private label digital product for only $47.00.

The result?

Over 450 purchases within 72 hours of getting the call from Dr. Doe, and more importantly, $23K in revenue.
