TGIM – Going Solar!

How was your weekend? Here in Brooksville, it’s spring season which means blistering hot and sunny every morning until 2pm, then thunder storms follow which is great for our gardens.

Earlier today, I was playing around with solar cells I got off eBay. I was amazed how a single 3×6 inch solar cell was able to put out almost 2 watts. This will be my first attempt at building solar panels to eventually, God willing, get off the grid. But on a shoe string budget, and DIY system, it won’t happen overnight.

I will be sure to keep you posted on my success with solar energy in the weeks ahead, or lack thereof. ;)
