SpaceX has been experiencing a tremendous amount of success with their tests of the Starship spacecraft that’s scheduled to take humans to the Moon and onto Mars as early as 2024.
The genius of Elon Musk is at the root of the excitement that’s spread all over the globe these days as the entire world watches Launch Complex 39-B at Kennedy Space Center, our hearts filled with hope.
SpaceX launched, and very successfully landed Starship serial number 15 (SN15) today in Texas, and by the grace of God they finally landed the ship upright!
All previous test flights resulted in thunderous, fiery explosions at their test site in Boca Chica, near Brownsville, TX.
SpaceX launch commentator John Insprucker exclaimed “Starbase Flight Control has confirmed, as you can see on the live video, we are down. The Starship has landed!”
And, after a small fire at the base of the rocket was put out, SN15 remained upright after landing following a 6 minute high altitude flight. Elon Musk tweeted the landing was “nominal” — even though the rocket landed using thrust from 2 Merlin engines instead of 1 in previous attempts.
It is my prayer and hope that one of my daughters will one day travel to space… #TGBATG
