How to Sue Your Electric Company, in my Case, Withlacoochee River Electric Cooperative

Have you been wronged by your Electric Utility Company? There are countless lawsuits against utility companies taking place every day in the United-States, and there’s a good chance you’re entitled to a portion of the hard earned money you’ve paid to your power or electric utility, specially if you’ve had property damaged from power outages.

In my case, it was my work laptop, professional grade VCR/DVD recorder/player and a television broadcasting desktop computer that were busted as a result of several consecutive power outages from the Withlacoochee River Electric Cooperative company.

Needless to say, I reached out to them in an attempt to recover the money I am forced to spend on repairs and replacements, but my endeavor has now gone far beyond equipment failure, specially after the response I received from one of their bullies blaming a squirrel, or even ME, the victim, for not taking necessary precautions to protect my equipment… Really?

Here’s the response I received weeks after I placed numerous calls to their claim department, who are experts are stalling, redirecting and not returning calls.

Dear Mr. St.Pierre,

A formal letter was prepared yesterday and was to be mailed to you tomorrow denying the claim. Some power surges are beyond the control of a utility and are neither foreseeable nor preventable as they are caused by animals, weather, or some other act of nature. In this particular case, a squirrel climbed into the equipment resulting in the failure which we neither caused nor could we have prevented. We strongly recommend that electronic equipment always be protected by some type of surge protection device.

Now What?

I’ve documented the day/times of the outages, logged calls and receipts. I have over $3,500.00 in damages I plan on recovering through a lawsuit against Withlacoochee River Electric Cooperative, Inc.

Atop this, to REALLY carve a dent in the Withlacoochee River Electric Cooperative, Inc. claim fund, I will be distributing a beautifully designed class action flier to neighbors in the days ahead, and mentioning the joint legal recourse at the next home owners association meeting, and of course, city counsel & town hall meetings.

My attorney is going to have a field day with this one, since he’s planning on earning high dollars for his time as well…

Don’t be a victim of your electric power company! When they fail to provide the services you afford, MAKE THEM PAY!

Get Off the Grid with these Solar Solutions!

This Solar Elite kit is a large solar and inverter system. It is designed for anyone that would like the benefit of solar power to charge their batteries and the ability to use AC appliances when there is no utility power available.

For example you can run a microwave, TV, blender, audio sound equipment, computers and more. This kit contains a 250 Watt solar charging kit and a 2000 Watt pure sine wave inverter system. The Solar Elite includes everything you need to hook the solar and inverter system up to your batteries and install the solar panels on a flat surface.

The Solar Elite is great for charging your RV, boat, cottage and cabin batteries, while providing you with AC power without the noise of a generator or the fuel and maintenance cost that goes with it.

The Solar Elite is excellent for long weekend and extended trips, and is expandable by adding a GP-RV-125E expansion kit (sold separately) for 375 watts of power. This allows you to take full advantage of available sunlight for faster charging and added capacity.

Go Power! recommends at least a 400 ampere hour battery bank for the Solar Elite kit.

HQRP 85 Watt (85W) Solar Electric Power Panel. The solar cells are encapsulated beneath high transmission tempered glass. The rear surface of the module is completely sealed from moisture and mechanical damage. Construction of the module minimizes weight while providing a durable, protective environment for the solar cells. Considering the fact that solar panels are supplied with MC connector, You will need to buy aditionally cable adapter (not included into the set). HQRP Solar Charge Controllers are high quality, efficient and reliable Solar Power Regulators. They are perfect for rural electrification system. They offer a lot of possibilities and benefits. Regulations point: 14.4 Volts; Low voltage Disconnect: 11.1V Volts; Low voltage Reconnect: 13.1 Volts; Microcontroller digital accuracy; Type of Charging: Series PWM & stat of charge(SOC); 4 Stages: equalization, PWM, Boost and Float, temperature compensated charging; Electronic protections: Short circuit and over current-solar and load; Reverse polarity-solar, load, battery; Reverse current at night; Limits high voltage to protect loads; Lighting protection; Tropicalization: Conformal coated printed circuit board; Self-consumption: 6mA maximum. HQRP UV Chain / UV Radiation Tester: To know the Solar UV Index, it is enough to compare the colorchange with the 4 standard colors around. Very light purple: low intensity, UV index 1-2. Sun-protection not necessary. Light purple: medium intensity, UV index 3-5. Sun-protection is recommended. Purple: strong intensity, UV index 6-7. Sun-protection is necessary. Dark purple: very strong intensity, UV index 8-11. This tester shows you the level of UV radiation and helps you protect your eyes and skin from negative sunlight effect, but this meter doesn’t show sunlight intensity for solar panels.
