How Much Traffic Do You Need, And When?

internet marketing for auto parts store

Yesterday in a conversation with a client, he asked me about SEO and its importance on search engine rankings. “Of course SEO is a key element of online success,” I told him, “but I like to think there are more immediate solutions we can use to drive targeted traffic to your Volkswagen Parts Dealer web site”

“Spam?” He asks.

“Yes, Spam. No! Of course not! Not spam, traffic from the web, fromĀ  blogs, from interactive forums or board. Real traffic, actual visitors to your web site after clicking a link, either anchored or not”

Don’t get me wrong, Email marketing is Great! But I have a tiny issue with intruding into someone’s home while they’re asleep even if it’s only through their personal computer or mobile device. Instead I much prefer a more effective approach which relies on interaction to drive traffic. What’s the Difference Between Email and Blog Spam?

Well for one, my experienced team of bloggers don’t Spam blogs, or forums. Instead, we engage in conversations, offer solutions and in some cases, add a link to signature to achieve 2 primary goals:

  1. Increase Awareness
  2. Boost Link Popularity

“You see Brad, when it comes to Internet Marketing in 2015 and beyond, quality of the traffic, above numbers will dictate the outcome of the game.”

Brad owns a Volkswagen dealership that’s completely off the internet grid. He’s not involved in web 2.0, YouTube or blogging. He’s completely oblivious to the power of the Internet.

“So, how do you get numbers, and I mean huge numbers of good traffic?” he asks.

“Leave the how part to me. I know how to drive a flood of qualified traffic to your site, but it’s going to cost ya… The only question is, how much traffic do you need, and when?” :P
