Free Video Streaming Service
Video streaming is nothing new. I’ve been using video streaming since 1996. Back then, I used Real Player (Real Producer) to stream audio and video 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from my Montreal studio, or any other location with dial-up Internet access. Some days, I even had 2 cameras setup to provide optimal coverage.
But, Coverage of “What” Exactly?
Back in the 90’s, it really didn’t matter what I put out for people to watch. I had very little competition, so anything went. You see I wasn’t “born again” then… Most days, I streamed a silent, live video feed of my Montreal loft, either a wide angle shot of the main room and reception area, which doubled as an indoor basketball court, or a closeup of my finches bathing in their enormous, walk-in bird cage.
For about 3 years, I got paid to entertain. I generated revenue from pay-per-click ads on websites where my video feeds were streamed. The more entertaining I was, the more money I earned. The crazier I got on camera, the more traffic I would generate to my web properties.
But, All That’s Changed Now.
I no longer cater to a secular audience. I cater to God.
Capitalizing on streaming media may seem simple. Stream a live webcam or produce DIY videos, post them on SoNets & sharing sites and viola! Genius right? Well yes, but I like to think that’s when I should come in, after you’ve already been through the creation, implementation and management of a video stream or video marketing campaign investing time, energy, know how and ultimately, money.
