How to Make Phone Calls With An Apple iPod Touch (iTouch)

Too many rumors are going around about a revolutionary new VoIP technology that allows iPod Touch users to make free phone calls anywhere in the world needing only free Wi-Fi and a $3 microphone. The same technique also works on Apple’s iPhones…

Here is how I make calls on my iPod Touch (OS 2.2.1)

Step 1: Download the Free Skype Application from iTunes

Step 2: Create a Free Skype account

Step 3: Purchase this $3 Apple device ready microphone adapter and use your existing earphones, OR purchase a set of original Apple iPod Touch or iPhone earphones with inline mic.

Step 4: Launch Skype on your iPod Touch or iPhone

Step 5: Login Skype

Step 6: When within Wi-Fi range, Dial Away!

There are countless ways to achieve the very same result however, Skype seems to offer better quality. At less than 3 cents per minute anywhere in the world, including video calls, Skype continues to be a #1 choice in my book… Enjoy!
